Trützschler’s cotton card allows hourly production of 50 million cotton swaps

Jointly with Rosink Systems, Trützschler sells installations for the production of card livers destined for making cotton swabs for many years

Wattestäbchen-EN-(2)-2For cotton swabs, the web of a Trützschler cotton card is split into four segments resulting in four fine card slivers of approx. 1.5 g/m. The four slivers are simultaneously coiled into four cans by means of a Rosink Quad Coiler. Thanks to the high sliver quality and the high production of the machine, this system proves to be extremely efficient.

Today, more than 80 Trützschler and Rosink machine combinations are installed worldwide. The sliver produced with these systems is sufficient for around 50 million swaps per hour.

To further increase its efficiency FALU has recently introduced cotton swap machines with an integrated drafting system and its feed sliver has a weight of 34 g/m.

In addition, to make use of the potential of the Trützschler High Production card, the Rosink sliver splitting system has been adapted to the Trützschler Card TC 11-H, allowing a production of four slivers of 4 g/m each allowing to double production another time. All the advantages and control system of Trützschler TC 11-H are utilised and ensure perfect sliver evenness at maximum efficiency of the whole system.
