ITMACH AFRICA 2018 – Postponed + New Date (updated June 27, 2018)

We are pleased to invite you to participate at the premiere edition of ITMACH AFRICA -International Textile Machinery & Accessories Exhibition. The Exhibition was scheduled from November 27 – 29, 2018 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya. On June 27, 2018 TextileFuture has received a mail with the following content:

The exhibition at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi from 1-3 Dec. 2018 (new dates) aimed at introducing modern textile technology and machinery to the East African entrepreneurs as well as connecting the textile machinery manufacturers to new set of potential customers. However, there is a Kenyan Government event planned suddenly towards end of November, which is overlapping with ITMACH Africa Exhibition.  So, the venue owner has expressed their inability to accommodate ITMACH Africa exhibition and neither there are any alternate venue available to host such a textile machinery show.  In such circumstances, keeping in mind the interest of our valued customers, we have decided to postpone the show till we get a suitable exhibition slot from the venue owners.”

Also, textile is the basic necessity of mankind and the multilateral trade treaties with large consumer markets (like AGOA) of fers huge opportunity to develop this sector.

Africa is known for various types of printed fabrics and for their uniqueness in design and colour. The continent also grows large volume of cotton, including premium Egyptian cot ton which has history of over 3000 years. Modern textile industry has developed in several countries and offers excellent opportunity for future growth. Among the leading textile manufacturing nations in Africa are: Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria,South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe.

Concurrent to ITMACH Africa, Africa Textile Souring Exhibition is also planned to provide conducive environment for business discussions, knowledge sharing and explore new opportunities.
