DOMOTEX 2019: Informs. Inspires. Connects
Are you ready for the world’s No. 1 trade show for the flooring industry? In keeping with its new approach, next year’s DOMOTEX will be more vibrant and engaging than ever before.
CREATE’N’CONNECT, the show’s keynote theme, puts the spotlight squarely on flooring as a crucial element of the connectivity megatrend. Connectivity is all about networking and integrating materials, technologies and human society. And it’s increasingly shaping the way we live, work and interact. Floors play a particularly important role in this context because they connect, support and inspire us.
CREATE’N’CONNECT stands for the interplay between traditional manufacturing techniques and modern design as well as the trend towards multifunctional living spaces and smart flooring solutions. The CREATE’N’CONNECT theme will be brought to life at next year’s Framing Trends showcase with a lineup of stunning installations and captivating speed presentations which form part of the showcase’s supporting program of events and lectures.
Featuring around 1400 exhibitors from over 60 countries, DOMOTEX 2019 will again be the central hub for the global flooring industry – the place where all the key players meet in the course of four busy days to make new contacts, close deals and learn about the latest industry trends. 45000 visitors are expected.
Be sure to note the show dates in your diary and be part of the action when the world’s top industry decision-makers meet in Hannover, Germany, from January 11 -16, 2019.
What impact does the mega trend of connectivity have towards interior design and flooring? The three modules featured in the special display area Framing Trends ‒ Flooring Spaces, Art & Interaction and NuThinkers – offer insights into the diverse ways in which global connectivity shapes our daily environment.
Did you already have a look at the program of DOMOTEX Talks? These lectures also explore the different facets of connectivity. For example, Sebastian Herkner will speak on new technology in the skilled trades in the session “CONNECTED BY TECHNOLOGY”, while interior designer and DOMOTEX Trendscout Esther Bruzkus will speak in the cluster “CONNECTED TO NEW SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PATTERNS”. Bruzkus, whose latest, highly original design venture – the foodie temple L.A. POKE in Berlin – was widely acclaimed, will address cultural cross-over in architecture. Peter Greenberg of ester bruzkus architekten will be one of the expert guides accompanying visitors on a tour of the trade show.
The latest innovations and trends in hand-made carpets and rugs will be revealed at the Carpet Design Awards on 12 January at DOMOTEX 2019.
