Simple Summer Styles With a French Twist – Tweed Shows Off Its Fun Side

Simple Summer Styles With a French Twist - Tweed Shows Off Its Fun Side

Again, we at Textile Future are offering two items from the fashion area and we are sure that you enjoying these features.

The first feature is entitled “Simple Summer Styles with a French Twist”, and the star of the show is a young model in Paris, France.

The second item is all about “Tweed Shows Off its Fun side”.

Both items are easy to read, because the two consist mostly of lovely captions.

We at TextileFuture recommend both features to read, because these are of actuality and these derive from the Wall Street Magazine.

Please return next Tuesday for another lecture of the TextileFuture’s Newsletter! Thank you. Meanwhile enjoy reading our daily News items.

Here starts the first item:

Simple Summer Styles With a French Twist

Dress things up this summer with easy options that breathe fresh air into classic styles, shot on the streets of Paris.

By Kevin Huynh | Photography by Lachlan Bailey | Styling by Anastasia Barbieri all from the Wall Street Magazine.

Embrace the carefree side of summer with a layered mix of hues, relaxed fits and wristfuls of gold jewelry. Photographer Lachlan Bailey captures model Smilla Osswald in the streets of Paris, styled by Anastasia Barbieri in classic options with a youthful twist.

An oxford-blue Michael Kors coat and the timeless refinement of a Burberry trench work well for rainy strolls, while Prada’s tangerine separates, Etro’s citrus cocktail dress and a colour-blocked robe from Hermès are perfect for sunnier soirees.

Isabel Marant chunky sweaters, Versace rose-colored tanks and knit crop tops from Ralph Lauren are strong choices for dining alfresco. For more casual moments, baggy jeans get a luxurious makeover from Chanel and Louis Vuitton, while Emporio Armani offers a ’70s-style tailored suit. Gucci also channeled the era with a linen checked silk tailoring.

Rock out with Dolce & Gabbana’s belted black biker jacket or the clean slate of a white leather version from Celine by Hedi Slimane. A faux-fur jacket and velvet boots from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello add a hint of mystique.

Here is the beginning of the second feature:

Tweed Shows Off Its Fun Side

This season, the traditional fabric takes on vibrant hues and smart silhouettes.

By Kevin Huynh | Photographed by Emily Lipson for WSJ. Magazine | Styled by Lizzy Wholley

Today’s tweeds turn away from tradition by combining the coolness of Clueless’s Cher Horowitz and the chicness of Coco Chanel. The tasteful, transitional textile has long been a top choice for designers looking to weave some personality and pizzazz into their outerwear and beyond.

A punchy, pink Chanel coat, shown here on model Tess Carter, gets a dressed-down twist with a relaxed pair of B Sides blue jeans. Turn heads in tranquil turquoise from Proenza Schouler’s White label or make your wardrobe sing with Oscar de la Renta’s canary-yellow houndstooth mini set.

While both offer kaleidoscopes of colour, New York brand Area moulded its tweed jackets into hourglass shapes, while Isabel Marant’s embrace the relaxed fit and feel of Parisian chic. Tweeds took a tailored approach with the salt-and-pepper pieces from Celine by Hedi Slimane and Thom Browne, which provide the perfect coverage for those who prefer a primmer palette.
