Decathlon has launched its first UK rental collection for skiwear and outerwear.

The retailer has partnered with rental platform Hirestreet to develop the offer as it seeks to take advantage of the hordes of Brits returning to the slopes and those taking up hiking as part of their New Year resolutions.

Hirestreet customers can rent Decathlon products from a little as GBP 15 for a 4-day period rather than buying new items, which make it an affordable alternative for those that do not ski or hike regularly.

The Decathlon collection Hirestreet consist of 18 lines of ski and hiking jackets and trousers ranging from size 6 to 16.

Rental has become a growing trend in retail. Brands such as M&S, French Connection, Asos and Lipsy have also partnered with Hirestreet. Harrods and Selfridges also offer rental clothing services while  John Lewis now rents furniture.
