As part of WIPO’s on-going effort to strengthen its programme of support for the business sector, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the launch, in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), of WIPO’s newest online resource, WIPO IP Diagnostics, an IP self-assessment tool at a virtual event to be held on November 9, 2021.
The programme includes a presentation of the tool, reflections on it by some member states as well as the launch of an initiative with ICC Center of Entrepreneurship for using the tool for building business capacity, which is part of a broader initiative by WIPO to partner with Governments, intergovernmental organizations and national associations to make the tool available to beneficiaries.
WIPO IP Diagnostics is a free, comprehensive self-assessment tool designed to help small businesses identify their IP assets and determine how to protect, manage and leverage these assets to unlock new commercial opportunities.
WIPO IP Diagnostics is a useful tool for small businesses to become acquainted with the practical advantages of the IP system. It can also function as a useful resource for business intermediaries, including IP offices, who may rely on it to complement their IP advisory services for businesses.
