LK Bennett launches clothing rental service LK Borrowed

The British luxury womenswear brand, LK Bennett (LKB) has launched its first unlimited subscription clothing rental service LK Borrowed, exclusively for women.

In collaboration with e-commerce management service CaaStle, ‘LK Borrowed’ will allow consumers in the UK to rent some of the brand’s most popular products from their ready-to-wear collections.

Members receive two things in their first box for a set monthly charge of 79 pounds, and they may make limitless exchanges with free shipping both ways and complimentary eco-friendly laundering. Customers can return clothes one or two at a time with unbundled returns, allowing them to build the ideal wardrobe from hundreds of LK Bennett styles for any occasion. Customers can purchase their LK Bennett goods for 50% off the retail price if they wish to keep them after renting them.

LK Bennett CEO, Darren Top said that they’re pleased to work with CaaStle to provide a new, more sustainable method of shopping to customers. Through a rotating wardrobe, they believe this innovative rental service will draw a new client base to LKB since it will allow customers to have an infinite stream of stunning quality items to wear while reducing the environmental effect of fashion. Furthermore, by providing rental to its clients, they are giving them the opportunity to wear excellent luxury apparel at a lower cost.

On LK Borrowed, new styles will be released weekly, and users can explore the collections and add pieces to their virtual wardrobe that they want to try. Customers can also utilise the Dart function, which allows them to personalize their next shipment and speed up processing time in between shipments for a cost of 9 pounds per box, in addition to the monthly membership.

Christine Hunsicker, founder and CEO of CaaStle, said that rental subscription services offer a powerful value proposition for both the consumer and the retailer because it allows current customers unlimited access to experience the brand in a compelling new way, while also attracting new digitally native customers.

Hunsicker added that as the first modern women’s brand to adopt their UK rental platform and services, LK Bennett has the chance to deepen their engagement with current customers and extend their client base, all while establishing a new, successful income channel that didn’t exist before.

CaaStle will manage the rental service, including all proprietary technology and logistics, while ACS Clothing Ltd, a sustainable clothing solutions provider based in Glasgow, will handle all cleaning and fulfillment operations for CaaStle’s international platform.
