Registration is now open for two half-days of in-depth training on the Madrid System. This new session is aimed at offering an online option of the in-person practical seminar, which was held in WIPO headquarters in the past and to meet the training needs of advanced users.
What will be covered in this seminar?
Similarly to past editions, this highly popular and hands-on masterclass will focus on a wide range of Madrid System processes and procedures.
WIPO experts and special guest speakers from the IP Offices of China and of the United States of America, as well as from the private sector, will present and moderate interactive sessions on selected topics. Each session will be based on detailed case studies analysis and group discussions on specific procedures and issues.

Who should attend?
This seminar will be held in English and is geared towards experienced Madrid users from the European, African, Asian and Pacific regions (AM Geneva time zone). Another session will be organized at a later date for users from the North American, Latin American and the Caribbean regions (PM Geneva time zone).
This seminar is specially designed for experienced IP professionals from private practice or in-house department (holders and representatives). IP Office staff are welcome to attend the dedicated training sessions, which will be announced at a later stage. Contact us for more details on training activities for IP Offices.
The number of participants will be limited to 40, to facilitate interactions and exchanges between participants and trainers. Allocation is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so we advise that you register early to secure your place.
N.B. The seminar is free of charge for participants from a Least Developed Country, in accordance with the list established by the United Nations.
