Building on the success of the Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference, this year-long project will comprise of in-depth industry research and an annual state of play report. The objective is to provide tangible outputs that genuinely help inform debate, discussion and progress towards climate-positive fashion and apparel.

See here for more information.

The report will cover leading business practices and provide practical guidance into key areas, such as:

  • Climate positive fashion: How business can drive effective action, progress and engagement on scope 3
  • SDGs and SBTs: What does a credible business strategy and set of targets look like today?
  • Innovations and technologies: The leading efforts and the progress required in circularity, recycling and new materials
  • Ethical trade and the sustainable factory: How to tackle sourcing dilemmas and implement effective human rights programs
  • Value chain and stakeholder engagement: What are the public policy, investor and consumer engagement frameworks needed to help support changes being made?

The Barometer will be an annual process of engagement and dialogue with industry. It will provide clear and practical guidance for apparel brands and key actors. The messages and outputs from this research will be shared throughout the year with our network through IF events, webinars, articles and podcasts.

We are currently recruiting partners to sponsor and support the Sustainable Apparel Barometer. If you are interested in being involved, get in touch and I would be happy to share more information.
