Post-World Cotton Day Request for Event Information

To All Members of the Cotton Community,

When the cotton industry needed it the most, people all over the world stood up for the world’s most important natural fibre on  October 7,  2020 — World Cotton Day. The events included everything from social media support, to arranging field visits and fashion shows, to holding webinars and disseminating pro-cotton information. We want to ensure the global cotton industry is recognised for its efforts, but even more importantly, we want World Cotton Day 2021 to be an even bigger celebration than it was this year!

To do that, the ICAC is compiling a comprehensive list of events held in 2020 so we can create a huge list of Event Ideas for 2021, ensuring that even more people participate and support cotton next year.

We don’t require a lot of detail, just a brief summary of what was done and, if possible, any numbers (attendees, viewers, views on social media, etc.). We will gather as much of that information as possible, learn about what worked and what didn’t, and incorporate all of that knowledge into the Promotion Plan for World Cotton Day 2021.

Next year, we will once again show consumers all over the world why cotton should be their fibre of choice — for comfort, for performance and for a sustainable future.

Please email whatever information you have to ICAC Communications Director Mike McCue, who will compile the data and begin work on the strategy for World Cotton Day 2021.

Sincerely,

The ICAC Secretariat
