WIPO is pleased to invite you to the inaugural WIPO ccTLD Webinar Series event on Thursday June 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. (CEST).

Who is this webinar for?
The webinar is intended for brand owners, attorneys, domain name registrants, ccTLD registries, domain name policy-makers and other IP specialists and practitioners.
What will you learn?
In this short webinar, you will learn the basics on how to file a .EU domain name complaint against a “cybersquatter” in particular:
• the main distinguishing characteristics of .EU proceedings (i.e., the required legal criteria as compared to the UDRP), and
• the main benefits of filing a case with WIPO in comparison to court litigation
We will also share some updates from EURid (the .EU Registry) on some recent measures they are taking to help preventatively tackle online abuses, especially in the COVID crisis.
Even in the face of the COVID-19 outbreak, WIPO is committed to providing its full domain name dispute resolution services, and significant numbers of cases continue to be filed, notably in the biotech/pharma, Internet/IT, banking/finance, and events-related categories.
The webinar is free of charge and will be held in English.
