Switzerland exports in February more textile machinery, but less textiles
Total Swiss exports amounted in February to CHF 17.8 billion, meaning workdays adjusted +0.9 % (real -2.5 %) and imports settled at CHF 14.6 billion +5.4 % (real +5.2 %)
Exported Textiles, clothing and footwear in February were reaching CHF 297 million, workdays adjusted+ 15.4 % (real + 5.6 %), whereas imports amounted to CHF 836 million +1.6 % (real -2.4 %). The figure for clothing thereof was CHF 525 million + 2.9 % (real -1.3 %), for textiles CHF 151 million -5.7 % (real -4.0 %) and footwear CHF 160 million +5.3 % (real -5.0 %).
The export of textile machinery in February amounted to CHF 73 million +15.8 % (real +15.3 %).
