Swiss textile, clothing, footwear and textile machinery exports in November 2016
Swiss textile, clothing and footwear exports in November 2016 increased by 14.5 % or a plus of CHF 43 million to CHF 349 million against the same month in 2015. All following data is based on the official statistics of Swiss Customs authorities
Swiss textile machinery exports amounted to CHF 76 million or CHF 7 million less than November 2015, nominally -8.8 % and real + 2.7 %. Workdays corrected resulted a plus of CHF 11 million, nominally -12.9 % and in real terms -1.9 %.
Total Swiss exports in November amounted to CHF 18.8 billion, nominal + 2.5 %, against the same month in 2015 and workday corrected it was less 0.4 billion or nominal -2.1 %, real – 3.7 % and against October 2016 nominal -3.1 % and real -0.4 %.
Total Swiss textile, clothing and footwear imports amounted to CHF 810 million or + CHF 111 million against November 2015, nominal + 15.8 %, real +6.8 %. Workdays corrected CHF + 74 million, nominal + 10.5 % and real + 1.8 %.
Clothing imports amounted to CHF 497 million or a plus of CHF 81 million against November 2015, nominal + 19.4 %, real + 11.8 %.. Workdays corrected results a plus of CHF 58 million, nominal +13.8 % and real + 6.6 %.
Textile imports amounted to CHF 168 million, three million CHF less than in the same month of 2015, or nominal -1.9 % and real -3.7 %. Workdays corrected resulted a minus of CHF 11 million, thus nominal -6.2 % and real -7.9 %.
Footwear was imported in the amount of CHF 145 million or CHF 33 million more (real +29.8 %, real 6.7 %). Workdays corrected resulted CHF 27 million more, nominal +23.7 % and real +1.7 %.
The grand total of Swiss imports amounted to CHF 15161 million, or less CHF 60 million against November 2015.
