Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 50 free of cost participation for junior designers

Actually designers and manufacturers can submit their products for the Red Dot Award Product Design 2017. To allow also junior designers to participate a “Young Professionals Application Day” was createdRed Dot Design Award Logo

On December 7, 2016 only formally educated designers, who’s diploma dates not more than five years back, will have an opportunity to apply for a total of 50 free of cost registration places. The international design competition is allowing career starters the possibility to show their competence and on the same level with established designers and big brands of the sector.

In addition to the registration for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 the 50 junior talents in the case of a bestowing will be supported with the following free of charge measures: The use oft he Red Dot Label for the bestowed product, its exhibition at the Red Design Museum Essen, Germany and in the online presentation, all belonging tot he desired „Winners‘ Benefits”. In addition the winners will be presented in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, a standard work for contemporary design and thus these are benefitting also from the public relation services of the Award.

The Red Dot Jury consists of free designers, design professors and trade journalists. The evaluation will take place live and in-situ with the presented products. Those do not compete with each other but are tested independently, discussed and judged. The rating entails grade of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity, self-explanatory quality and ecological friendliness, product peripherals, formal quality, symbolic and emotional content. Only convincing design quality will be bestowed by “Red Dot”.
