Teijin to participate at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics

Teijin Frontier and Nantong Teijin will participate in Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics–Autumn Edition 2016, which will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from October 11-13, 2016Teijin

Being the world’s biggest and most comprehensive exhibitions of apparel fabric and accessories, last year it attracted around 66000 people and 4600 companies from nearly 30 countries. More than 2700 suppliers are expected to participate in the show this year.

Teijin Frontier and Nantong Teijin say they look forward to developing new customers in China and expanding its global market through participation in the show.

Advanced materials

Teijin Frontier, which will be attending for its sixth consecutive year, will exhibit materials developed with advanced post-processing, spinning and yarn-processing processes. It also will present a wide variety of high-quality clothes, including suits, pants and outer wears, made with two of the company’s advanced materials.

These include SOLOTEX, a shape-retaining and stretchable polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre, and DELTAPEAK, a next-generation polyester fabric that is said to combine excellent physical properties with high levels of functionality and quality that are ideal for sports apparel.

Eco-friendly materials

Nantong Teijin, which will be attending for its 14th year, will showcase eco-friendly materials including recycling polyester fibre, partially bio-delivered materials, and newly developed materials using the closed-loop polyester recycling system developed by the Teijin group, ECO CIRCLE.

The company also will present MICROFT moisture-permeable, water-repellent fabric made with high-performance microfibre and other solutions for fashionable wear, uniform, and knitted materials.

Teijin is a technology-driven group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare.

Its main fields of operation are high-performance fibres, such as aramid, carbon fibres and composites, healthcare, films, resin and plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT.
