Opening ceremony of ITA Tekstil Araştırma Geliştirme ve Eğitim Anonim Şirketi in Istanbul, Turkey
On October 8, 2016 the ITA Tekstil Araştırma Geliştirme ve Eğitim Anonim Şirketi in Istanbul (Turkey) will be officially inaugurated in presence of the honorary guest Dr. Faruk Özlü, Minister for Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey
The “ITA Istanbul Tekstil Araştırma Geliştirme ve Eğitim Anonim Şirketi” (ITA Istanbul) is a research and development institute in cooperation with Turkish textile exporter associations from the regions of Istanbul, Gaziantep, Adana, Izmir and Bursa. The Board is mainly provided by ITA, the Institut für Textiltechnik (Institute for Textile Technology) of RWTH Aachen University (ITA). The ITA Istanbul has a partner university, Marmara University, and is located 20 minutes from Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Under the management of Dr.-Ing. Bayram Aslan the focussed technology fields are nonwovens, staple fibre processing, finishing, coating and environment. Other business areas are consulting, testing and training. The ITA Istanbul is equipped with extensive pilot and laboratory facilities as well as an extensive accredited test laboratory.
Over the location of Istanbul, partners and industrial customers in Turkey are acquired, supervised, and maintained to joint research and development projects. Furthermore, European and Turkish companies are accompanied in development of current markets. The transnational cooperation is particularly maintained and will be extended by intensive partnerships with industrial associations, universities and research institutes in Turkey. The ITA Istanbul is a “Technology Gateway” between Europe and Turkey.
