Christian Louboutin announces Limited Edition Capsule Collection with SportyHenri.com
Taking inspiration from the Sporty Henri motto, “Mettre Le Sport En Valeur,” Christian Louboutin created four limited edition styles, based on highly collectable sneaker silhouettes in his men’s collection. The trainers leverage the Sporty Henri brand’s clean palette of white, cobalt blue and black and distinctive logo – a playful and elegant profile inspired by founder and former French professional handball player Henri Tai whilst all designs are finished with the signature Christian Louboutin red sole
Of the limited edition collection, Christian Louboutin says, “It’s a real pleasure for me to touch and create some exclusive designs which, I think, represent the values that are dear to Henri: sport mixed with style in a fun and colourful way. I am thrilled to be part of the new adventure of SportyHenri.com.”
Launched in April, SportyHenri.com offers a unique proposition between shopping and editorial for the sartorially inclined athlete, including world class advice beyond routine styling and fit guidance. The site aims to inspire its audience to elevate their sporting life through knowledge and support from “The Gang”. Highly regarded experts in the field, such as Tony Parker, divulge experiences, personal practice, and tips on maintaining an active lifestyle. The SportyHenri.com offers a diverse mix of premium international and niche labels from the intersection of fashion and sport, all selected by Tai personally. The collaboration marks the first exclusive capsule for the site.
“For me, clothes are an extension of myself, they let me express something about who I am, about my personality, but also they let me explore it. It is this vision that I want to bring to life with SportyHenri.com, and here it takes form through this wonderful capsule, which I feel very privileged to offer our clients exclusively,” Tai says of the collaboration with Christian Louboutin.
This exciting new collaboration is the second project for the friends, Louboutin and Tai having teamed up to support the Cuban National delegation as Official Supplier of the Celebratory Outfit in the recent Olympic Games in Rio.
The collection is available from September 15, 2016 at SportyHenri.com and select Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques.
