X-Rite Pantone Brings Colour Control to K 2016

X-Rite Incorporated, a global leader in colour science and technology, and its subsidiary Pantone LLC, will demonstrate its latest colour management solutions at K 2016, the largest global gathering of the plastic and rubber industry, scheduled for October 19-26 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Located in Hall 8b, Booth H65, the X-Rite Pantone booth features the theme, ‘Colour as You Imagined It’ and showcases four Inspiration Zones that address the specific colour needs and requirements for design, development, formulation, production and quality control professionals

“X-Rite Pantone is unique in the industry in its ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end colour solutions for the plastics industry sourced from a single supplier,” said Chris Winczewski, Vice President of Product Marketing, X-Rite Pantone. “Visitors to our stand at K 2016 will be able to quickly and easily focus in on their specific requirements and speak to colour experts who can guide them to the best solutions for their colour workflows. From communicating colour specifications to inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process work and final product, X-Rite has the tools, technologies and expertise to help customers improve their plastics workflow and reduce colour errors.”

Each of the X-Rite Pantone Inspiration Zones feature solutions to help designers, compounders, manufacturers and other suppliers specify, communicate, formulate and control colour quality. This helps companies improve overall quality and batch-to-batch consistency reducing waste and rework, speeding time to market and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Design

The focus of this zone is to help designers take advantage of the latest colour trends, capture colour inspiration and select colours that can be accurately achieved across all desired substrates. Using digital colour communications and spectral data helps eliminate colour miscommunication, improve approval processes and ensure colour accuracy in the end product. Featured solutions include CAPSURE, Pantone® Colour Guides and SpectraLight QC light booth.

Develop & Formulate

To help companies create, formulate and match colour palettes, X-Rite Pantone offers a complete suite of colour matching and quality control solutions for accurate colour analysis and cost efficient colour formulation. Using spectrophotometers and software, companies can simplify the formulation of master standards, optimize the use of colourants, reuse leftover materials and reduce approval cycles. Featured solutions include Colour iMatch, Ci7x00 benchtop spectrophotometer, MA9x, Ci6x, and 964 45°/0° spectrophotometer.

Produce

In manufacturing, continuous monitoring of colour makes it easier to ensure consistent and accurate colour through the production workflow. This zone will focus on helping manufacturers deliver against colour expectations, minimize errors and improve efficiencies by reducing rework and waste. X-Rite Pantone will showcase how offline and inline colour measurement solutions can deliver quality statistics proactively and, in the case of inline solutions, can often correct colour issues before they are even visible to the human eye. Featured solutions include VS450, VeriColour, and ERX130.

Quality Control

In the final step of the production workflow, having the right set of software and measurement instruments in place to ensure that customer expectations are met is critical. Quality control professionals can monitor colour quality in real time to demonstrate colour accuracy and reduce product rejects. Data can be shared with customers and other suppliers to validate performance. Featured solutions include Colour iMatch, Colour iQC, NetProfiler, and a range of range of handheld and benchtop spectrophotometers.
