French Fashion Tokyo to celebrate 20th anniversary in July 2016

In 1996 “Mode in France” (Fashion in France) organised the first Salon de Mode française (French fashion exhibition) in Tokyo, Japan as reference to Japan’s fashion professionals

Upon an initiative of  Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin and Mode in France Tokyo to congregate at every edition (January and July) more than 50 French fashion brands and around 1500 Japanese buyers, showrooms and distributors (Baycrews, American Rag, Takashimaya, Coincidence, Tomorrowland, United Arrows, Urban Research, Frameworks, Estination, Jupiter Shop Channel, etc.).

The fashion market of Japan is a frontrunner and demanding and is actually undergoing a phase of change thus another reason to be present on a permanent basis or to persist in the market. This presence is welcomed by Japanese distributors, selected shops and brick and mortar retailers located in branches or in fashion buildings, because these are permanently looking for new products, a transversal offering and innovative lifestyle concepts.

The Federation has well incorporated these requirements by repositioning Mode in France Tokyo and the following adaptations and will present them from July 27-29, 2016:

–        A brand new space concept: the salon will take place in the Hotel Westin (section Ebisu) with a surface of 1600 m3 where 2000 Japanese buyers and distributors can explore 70 French fashion brands for women, accessories and lifestyle will be presenting their new lines for spring and summer 2017.

–        A new visual identity: based upon a new colour identity developed by Studio Andrea Crews, and Maroussia Rebecq, founder of the studio explains: “The visuals are developed like page of a magazine. A women strolls in her city, Paris, the capital of fashion. She wears all that is a must for a women of her time, full of reassurance and joy. An international image of the French woman, without a face because she represents all women.”

–        An exhibition as never before: for the first time ever there will be a presentation of vintage collections by Didier Ludot, 20 ans, 20 emblematic pieces of the most large French companies such as Chanel, Dior, Madame Grès, Cardin, Courrèges, etc.) will be exposed under the summer motto.

La Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin’s expertise is accompanying each year 300 enterprises to export their products. The Federation is also suggesting tools to export directors and fashion brand managers in order that these dispose of all strategic elements of a country.
