About Turkey as a textile country

Turkey is number one in textile yarn manufacturing in Europe and the third worldwide, in woven fabrics manufacture the country is number two in Europe and fifth worldwide. The nation is the world leader in denim manufacture, also in knitting manufacturing it is the first in Europe and the second in the world. In textile finishing it has Europe’s first and the world’s third largest capacity installed. In socks manufacturing it is number two in Europe and third in the world.  In home textiles Turkey is the greatest manufacturer in Europe and the fourth largest manufacturer in the world. In carpet manufacturing it is number two in Europe and the third in the world. ITM is the third most important textile show in the world and takes place bi-annually. More than a 1000 exhibitors from 40 countries will be present at the fair. More than 40000 visitors from over 70 countries are expected. The fair is taking place in 12 Halls and an indoor area of 120000 m2. A new hall has been added for Textile Printing and Digital Printing.

FairgroundsInstalled or shipped textile machinery in 2006-15

Turkey had in 2014 760000 short staple spindles installed, as well as 770000 OE-rotors, according to the newest ITMF statistics. In 2015 272076 short staple and 11160 long staple spindles, as well as 17820 OE-Rotors were shipped to Turkey. The cumulative Shipments 2006-15 were 3620258 short staple spindles, 271520 long staple spindles and 343432 OE-rotor spindles.

In the drawtexturing sector Turkey was receiving in 2015 15888 double heater systems and the cumulative shipments 2006-15 were 1908 single heater and 88584 double heater systems, thus a total of 90452 drawtexturing machinery.

In the weaving sector were 2014 47000 shuttle-less and 20000 shuttle machines installed in Turkey, predominantly for weaving yarns spun on cotton systems. The cumulative shipments 2006-15 amounted to 18027 shuttle-less looms.

The cumulative shipments in the Circular Knitting machinery sector to Turkey reached in the single sector and up to 24” 377, and in 26” or over to 6390. In the double sector up to 24” there were 306 systesm and 26” or over 3444, thus a total of the two subsectors amount to 10517 circular knitting machines.

The cumulative shipments 2006-15 in the Flat Knitting Machinery sector and in the subsection hand knitting and semi-automatic machines amounted to 837 machines. Flatbed up to 70” reached 13683 and Flatbed 70” or over 348 machines, resulting in a total of 14031.

In the finishing sector in 2015 the following machines were reaching Turkey: Washing (stand alone) 2, Bleaching Line 5, Drying Line (CPB) 6, Dyeing line (Hotflue) 2, Mercerising Line 6, Stentering 53, Relax, Dying/Tumbling 4 and Sanforising/Compacting 12.

Bräcker introduces New STARLETplus Traveller for challenging spinning conditions

Bräcker is the specialist for key components for ring spinning machines. The company will introduce several innovative solutions at ITM in Istanbul.

Braecker_STARLETplus_travellerOne of Bräcker’s important innovation is the STARLETplus traveller. Bräcker will present them at ITM in Istanbul. In challenging conditions like high humidity or aggressive fibres, the STARLETplus offers additional benefits: The traveller service life can be prolonged by up to 50% and due to its improved coating, the new traveller shows a better resistance against corrosion. These advantages result in lower maintenance costs in the spinning mill. During the entire service life the yarn quality values remain constant. The STARLETplus is particularly recommended for viscose and CO/CV blends, dyed MMF fibres and special applications. The new traveller is suitable for the entire yarn count range.

Another innovation presented at ITM is the BERKOL® supergrinder for SUPERGRINDER_POSTER_CMYKautomatic grinding of ring, roving and air spinning top rollers. The modular machine improves the grinding capacity compared to the previous version by more than 50%. The BERKOL® supergrinder has a grinding capacity of up to 350 top rollers per hour and offers a storage capacity of 450 top rollers with 32 mm diameter. At the same time, the power consumption has been reduced by 10%. The BERKOL® supergrinder has a touch panel for easy operation. The user interface is multi-lingual in German, English, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.

The French Textile Machinery presentations

France is the 6th exporter of textile machinery worldwide and Turkey is its second most important market. ITM is the leading textile machinery fair in Turkey.

Hubert Tretsch (Superba’s marketing manager), President of the Promotion Committee of the French Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (UCMTF), will be at ITM Istanbul June 1-4, 2016

NSC Fibre To Yarn

Hall 3 Booth 318A jointly with SAMOTEKS                   

NSC Fibre To Yarn continues to develop and propose Tow To Top lines with the model S200 of stretch breaker followed by the new model of defelter rebreaker model D5GC40 and GC40 chain gill. As finisher m/c, the FMV41/42 vertical rubbing frame takes place.

Recently, NSC Fibre To Yarn has installed semi-worsted lines with SW35 carding m/c (2.5 m or 3.5 m wide), manufactured by N. Schlumberger followed by preparation lines consisting of chain gills model GC 40 and finishers m/c model FMV41/42.

New: NSC offers to modernize recycling lines for acrylic fibres or blended ones by introducing its well-known combing ERA between card and gills. The contribution of the combing ERA is economically essential according to 4 points of view:

– production: 1 ton per day in 3 deniers (3 shifts).

– cleanliness: 25% of neps less compared with PB family m/c.

– energy consummation: equipment with economic motors.

– reduced consummation of spare parts owing to a new design of kinematic.

SUPERBA, a member of the Vandewiele group of companies since July 2015, will be present at ITM in Istanbul in on a common booth under the Vandewiele roof.

SUPERBA, already mastering the sophisticated space-dyeing technique for years, will show their latest machine type MCD3. This new version is able to continuously dye a bundle of 72 yarns, with a production of up to 280Kgs/h combined with a TVP3 line and up to 400Kgs/h with a DL5 line with a range of 6 spot colors plus 1 base shade. Thanks to its unique high-speed piezo-electric linear actuator technology, the machine offers a wide range of spot patterns, from short-space (20mm) to extra-long-space (150m), under the control of a powerful pattern creation software (Yarndraw3).The new MCD3 also permits a new style of space-dyed yarn thanks to its exclusive bi-color technology, offering the carpet designer a wider range of possibilities: MCD3 bi-color space-dyed rugs will be shown at ITM.

The new version of the famous TVP3 heat-setting line is providing many improvements and ergonomic, such as the MLU multi-laying unit with its new MF400 frieze box. This laying unit will also be exhibited on the stand at ITM to demonstrate the ability to switch from straight-set to frieze mode within minutes, instead of 2 hours with the previous equipment. The latest version of the MF400 frieze box integrated inside the MLU also enables to produce a new style of frieze yarn with very even waves and offers the electronic control of the friezing from very light to strong frieze effect.

Graf will show innovations in clothings, combs & service machines

The company Graf, located in Rapperswil near Zurich, is the leading manufacturer of clothings for flat cards and roller cards. Graf will introduce several innovative solutions at ITM in Istanbul

Flexible flat clothings are one of the key components in a carding machine. To ensure an evenly high quality of the cardingsliver, they have to be replaced regularly. For this process the card needs to be stopped. To keep these down-times as short as possible, Graf now offers a new flat top system, which can reduce the stoppage time by up to 70 %. The so-called EasyTop is applied on flat bars designed for magnetic attachment. The flat tops, equipped with a metal carrier, are attached securely and precisely by means of a magnetic connection. They resist even highest carding forces and guarantee for a high reliability in X-Comb-6015_Seitlich_Pressoperation. The EasyTop system can be used for aluminium flat bars with magnetic attachment technology from all manufacturers. EasyTop are available for working widths of 40“, 51” and 60” in a selection of the well-known and proven types of flat clothings.

Graf will also present new products for the combing process. The X-Comb segments can be used on comb-bodies requiring individual segments from other manufacturers and thus now make the leading Graf technology also accessible for these conventional combs. The combing segments made from metallic clothings that undergo a special surface treatment, which substantially reduces the running-in period.

In addition Graf will present the DABM flat striping machine for the first time in Istanbul. The DABM allows gentle and correct removal of worn flexible flat clothings from the flat bars. Quick clamping with pneumatic clamping device and the maintenance-free three-phase AC motor without toothed belt are merely two advantages of this service machine. Applicable for flat bars with working widths from 40” – 60”, the DABM allows a Straight-forward and efficient mechanical removal of the worn flat strips from the flat bars.

Marzoli at ITM 2016

Next June the global textile industry will gather at ITM in Istanbul. Marzoli will exhibit at Hall 5 – stand number 504A and will present its latest innovations for spinning technology. Among the exhibits there will be: the MDS1 ring spinning frame with Marzoli original components, the Mac3000 compact system and the MRM software platform.
