Call for Papers, Conference on Nonwovens for High-performance Applications
The Third International Conference on Nonwovens for High-performance Applications will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, on 7-8 March 2017, once again bringing together senior managerial, technical and marketing staff from nonwovens manufacturers, suppliers to the industry, converters/finishers, product designers and processors, application sector OEMS, researchers and end-users to discuss progress and possibilities
Organised by International Newsletters Ltd, this conference is a unique meeting designed to inform delegates about the latest technical developments and opportunities offered from technical nonwovens including markets, materials and manufacturing techniques. The global nonwovens industry is thriving, primarily because new applications for these highly adaptable engineered materials continue to be found.
The core of the programme will be presentations by invited industry leaders, but in order to give an opportunity for anyone with exciting and relevant ideas to present to the high-level international audience, we are seeking papers relating to high-performance applications for nonwovens, especially those that are commercial or near-commercial, such as:
- The substitution of nonwovens for existing engineering materials in order to create lightweight products of similar or even higher performance (for instance, in transportation and construction);
- Filtration (air, liquid and gas), including the integration of nano-fibre webs with filter media;
- Uses of recycled and recovered carbon fibre, and natural fibres to make nonwovens;
- Uses in the storage and generation of energy;
- Advanced medical materials and implantable nonwovens;
- Smart fabrics and patches;
- Substrates for digital printing and signage.
Acceptance of papers will be based on abstracts of a maximum of 500 words. Submissions should also include the name, professional affiliation, telephone number, email address and mailing address of the person to whom correspondence should be directed. Only one speaker per presentation will be allowed, though co-authors may be listed. The speaker should be clearly indicated.
Accepted speakers will be allocated 20-25 minutes in the programme. The organizers will not provide expenses or fees, but speakers accepted via the call for papers will receive a 50% discount on the regular registration fee.
Submissions should be made by email to Nick Butler, Conference Committee, as soon as possible and abstracts received after 30 June 2016 cannot be considered.
As we do not allow commercial talks at NHPA, a limited number of sponsorships will be available as well for companies to present their sales message. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on the various sponsorship packages.
The venue hotel is the Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square in the centre of the city of Prague, 15 km from the airport. This 4 star hotel has excellent conference facilities, an indoor pool and parking .
