Messe Frankfurt France partners with Festival des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode in Tunis, Morocco
The event of the Festival of young fashion designer “Le Soleil de Miniuit” (the sun at midnight) is scheduled for May 19, 2016 at Ramada Plaza in Tunis, Morocco
The “Groupement professionnel del a Confection et de l’Habillement Tunisien de la CONECT” organises the Festival with the aim to bring together on the Côtes de Carthage different Tunisian players and foreigners of the textile and clothing sector.
Messe Frankfurt France has recently decided to participate in the promotion of textiles and clothing from Tunesia in the framework of Apparel Sourcing Paris, the exhibition of worldwide sourcing of clothing, but also support different local promotion favouring business synergies between Europe – particularly in the north – and the Tunisian clothing industry and accessories. This is exactly the case with the Festival since it is important to show that creation is at the heart of the industrial players related to fashion forming a complement to business activities. It is also the occasion to found a stage thanks to conferences on the latest trends and the concerns of the Tunisian clothing industry along the banks of the Mediterranean, declairs Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.
Messe Frankfurt France brings his support to the rare event important to the Tunisian ready made and textile finishers and their desire to internationalise their activities by developing a partnership with the customer markets. Besides the discovery of creative Tunisian talents, bringing a not to underestimate stylist support to the fashion industry of Tunisia, the Festival permits also a dynamic networking and an opportunity of offerings between the local and international participants.
Welcomed by Apparel Sourcing in Paris last September 2015, the DTB association, a group of important players of German sourcing – and on invitation of Messe Frankfurt France – will participate in Tunis, including a presentation of the group’s activities and there principles of sourcing at a conference that will take place at the end of event. It is dedicated to already existing collaboration and in the future between the European textile sector and Tunisian sourcing authorities. The force of business opportunities and the expertise of International Apparel Sourcing Paris as a door opener, encourages a delegation of 10 German sourcing companies to travel to Tunis to take contacts with Tunisian enterprises.
The afternoon will entail networking and round tables with experts of the sectors bathing and swimwear fashion, jeans, sportswear, ready to wear women, leather and footwear and jewellery.
The evening will consist of three fashion shows (upcoming Tunesian international designers, Italian swimwear and prizes will be bestowed for the best young designer of 2016, a competition among jewellers and the fashion model 2016 will be elected).
