Foxtrail opens a new trail in St. Gallen Switzerland
As textile experts, we know that Swiss St. Gallen is the home of some important textile industry (fabrics, lace, embroidery, etc.) renowned the world over. It is also a very intriguing city with many beautiful sites. It forms also part of Textile Land Ostschweiz (Textile Country Eastern Part of Switzerland) and it homes the Textile Museum and part of Empa (Materials and Sciences). Now it adds another curiosity, Foxtrail
Foxtrail is an ingenious team commercially available event for friends, families (with children from the age of eight years) and company excursions. It offers a surprisingly different way of discovering a Swiss city. To reach the goal, participants have to follow the trail using cleverness and all of their six senses. They have to decipher messages, interpret clues or coax secrets out of unique and baffling puzzles.
The new Foxtrail „Columban“ leads through St. Gallen’s most charming sights and hidden corners. The trails integrates cultural highlights of the city such as the Stiftsbibliothek (the famous library of the St. Gallen Abbey) of the the cultural centre „Lokremise“ and the Textile Museum. The game also takes participants through the Mülenen Gorge and on part of the of the St. Gallen Textile Trail (to be launched in April 2016). To catch up with the smart fox followers need to find a long lost manuscript, hack the surveillance system of a telecom company and lead a train onto an abandoned track. If given the right bait even Switzerland’s largest cuckoo will reveal its secret to the game’s participants.
The Foxtrail „Columban“ takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and can be booked on the link below.
Foxtrail is also available in the following Swiss cities: Basel, Berne, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Zurich, Aargau, Lausanne, Lugano, and soon in Jura region.
