At Chinaplas 2016, BASF will exclusively co-host the “Design x Innovation” event, showcasing innovations that demonstrate the power of high-performance materials to enable high-performance design. CHINAPLAS is the biggest trade fair for plastics and rubber in Asia and taking place for the 30th time in 2016 from April 25 – 28, 2016 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, PR China (Pudong) Shanghai (Booth N1 B41)

Building on the success of the event at Chinaplas 2015, BASF will renew its commitment to the topic “Design x Innovation”, showcasing how innovative materials enable new product designs in the areas of mobility, sports and leisure, as well as building and living. In addition to product exhibits, the event will feature industry expert discussions at open forums. The focus of the event lies on plastics technologies that enable product designs, which address evolving customer needs, sustainability demands and regulatory requirements.

As the China market gradually matures, consumers are becoming more demanding with regard to product design, functions and features. Products with innovative design, simple and user friendly functions, energy-saving and eco-friendly features will have better marketability. With the support of innovative plastics technologies, more sophisticated product designs can come true which create greater value for customers.

CHINAPLAS has been striving for getting the plastics industry with new insights that reflect the market dynamics. With the enormous success gained in the last show, CHINAPLAS will again join hands with BASF, the world’s leading chemical company, to present “Design x Innovation” in Shanghai in 2016! This event will explain how plastics combines with creative design provide sustainable and innovative solutions that help solve real customer problems. Participants could experience new perspectives on product outlook design, structural and functional design through the solutions presented for different downstream industries (e.g. automotive, E&E, building and construction, leisure and lifestyle, etc).
