Henkel boss becomes new CEO of Adidas

The successor of Adidas CEO Herbert Heiner (61) will become the actual CEO of Henkel, Kasper Rorsted as of October 1, 2016New adidas boss

Rumours were persisting for some time that Kasper Rorsted will be leaving Henkel before his contract expires in 2017. Now it is a fact, he will take the helm on October 1, 2016 and Herbert Heiner will be leaving prematurely at the end of September 2016.

Rorsted, a Dane, will be leaving Henkel already at the end of April 2016 at his own desire, reported the Henkel Board and designated already his successor in the Person of Hans Van Bylen. He has been leading since 2005 the cosmetic sector of Henkel.

Rorsted, father of four children joined Henkel in Dusseldorf in 2005 from US Hewlett Packard and became CEO in 2008. Rorsted cleaned the brand jungle, reinforced and relaunched the top brands and increased the value of Henkel’s shares. The Chairwoman of the Henkel Board of Directors stated: “Kasper Rorsted has reached a lot for the benefit of Henkel, turnover and profitability increased markedly under his leadership”.
