The cost of an air jet reed depends on several parameters. By avoiding the need for a conical reed when weaving four colours, the reed cost can be significantly reduced.
The JetFunnel is designed to meet this requirement. When used on a four colour air jet machine the conical entrance on the reed is no longer always required.

The JetFunnel is able to offer these advantages because it is positioned at the tip of the movable main nozzle and brings the weft yarn close enough to the ideal insertion position in the reed channel.
