CBI and IAF sign cooperation agreement
CBI, the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from development countries (an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and IAF, the International Apparel Federation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 28, 2014, with the aim to intensify collaboration between the two organisations to improve the apparel value chain in developing countries
The agreement commits the two organisations to share contacts, to involve each other in trade missions, and to work together in projects involving sourcing, value chain development, capacity building and CSR. Also cooperation in the field of market intelligence forms part of the agreement. CBI’s market intelligence department will offer its research studies to IAF members and the two parties equally look for ways to cooperate in new research on trends in the apparel sector, industry developments, sourcing and supply chain management.
The agreement is valid for two years with an extension possibility for another three years.
