New director of marketing at INDA
Joan Izzo, a long time nonwovens industry marketing expert is named for the post of marketing director at INDA
Her past experiences with Tredegar Films, Performance Fibers and Virginia Commonwealth University and her activities within INDA serving on a number of committees including the Vision Conference Planning committee for several years, were decisive for the job. The last three years she was marketing engineering academia at VCU.
She assumed the responsibility in January and is actually assessing INDA’s role and how best to serve the needs of both the organisation and its members, among her goals: attracting new members through a clearer and more compelling presentation of INDA’s benefits, horning social media and the organisation’s website, developing a cohesive identity for each of INDA’s events and figuring out the most valuable ways to support members and help them succeed.
David Rousse, INDA president stated: “INDA’s director of marketing is a critical function for developing and enhancing INDA’s brand among membership and the nonwovens/engineered fabrics industry. We look forward to having Joan Izzo on board to lead, direct and refine the strategic marketing direction and competence within INDA. She has an outstanding record in marketing communications and has the entrepreneurial spirit to lead INDA to the next level.
