Bluesign is expanding with new members

Swiss headquartered bluesign technologies is expanding the sustainability community and moves its headquarters within St.Gall (CH)

A row of new brands are betting on the bluesign® system of sustainability standards, namely Schöffel Sportbekleidung GmbH (D) a medium sized enterprise, family owned since 1804. It produces sports clothing for almost 50 years and is one of the leading international brand providers for functional, high quality ski, mountaineering and outdoor clothing. Further joined engelbert strauss GmbH & Co. KG (D) Europe’s specialist for professional work wear, Albiro AG, Switzerland (work wear producers in Middle Europe; Zanier Sport GmbH (A), a family owned and run company producing top 4 gloves brands in Europe; XD Apparel (NL) a leading European supplier in the promotional gift industry; ergobag (D), it designs and develops ergonomic school backpacks with fabrics made of 100 % recycled PET-bottles.

The new chemical suppliers joining are Chung Fu Dyestuffs Co., Ltd. (Taiwan); Setas Kimya Sanayi A.S. (TR); Ilsam Co., Ltd. (Korea); Nicca Chemical Co., Ltd. (J); Vimin Chemical Industrial Corp. (Taiwan)


The new textile manufacturers and converters joining are Fortune Textile Co., LTD (Taiwan) specialises in synthetic knitted fabrics; Young Poong Filtex Co., Ltd. (Korea), functional fabrics for outdoor and casual wear; 3PX (JHangzuhou) Co., Ltd. (Korea), specialising in coated environmentally fiendly fabrics for outdoor bags; Feinmjersey Betriebsgesellschaft (A), knitted fabrics for underwear, shape wear, swimwear, sports and leisure, home wear and technical textiles; Yaw Liamy Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) it is Guang Der’s flagship subsidiary manufacturing and exporting high quality nylon and polyester fabrics with PU or EMB coating for bags and luggage; Bristex Co., Ltd. (Korea) development and production of proprietary finishes and fabrics for outdoor active apparel market; Top Found Industries Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) fabric manufacturer producing woven light weight and functional fabrics for outdoor wear, down jacket and sleeping bag; Glen Raven Technical Fabrics, LLC (USA) is a subsidiary of Geln Raven and provides a broad array of synthetic woven and knit fabrics; Convertec Enterprises Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) woven and knit synthetic fabrics for outdoor performance apparel; Daejin Textile (Korea), Pratibha Syntex Limited (IND) with 20 years of experience in knit fabrics manufacturing in Korea, it offers a wide range of knitted micro fibre fabrics from Polyester made in tricot and circular quality.  


The new accessory manufacturers are Nansei Feather Ents. Corp. (Taiwan) is specialising in exporting down & feather materials; JinJiang ZiRan Fiber Manufacture Co., Ltd. (PRC) represents a composite fibre insulation manufacturer, providing INVISTA Thermolite® Insulation, its own brand Fellex® Insulation, quilting and computer embroidery; Shinih Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Taiwan), one of the top nonwoven companies in the world with over 50 years of experience, producing apparel insulation with synthetic fibres for outdoor, fashion, functional/casual/sportswear; Wilson garment Accessories (Int’l) Ltd., Hong Kong, with over 32 years of experience and technical expertise, producing garment accessories such as knitted and woven tapes, cord, elastic webbings, bungee cords, jacquard tapes, laces, printed tapes, ribbons, reflective tapes, belts and shoelaces.  


The new fibre manufacturers joining are PurThread Technologies (USA) developing proprietary antimicrobial textile technology; Noble Biomaterials, Inc. (USA) is a global leader in bacterial management solutions, and Shun Jin Industrial Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) is a specialist in dyeing and finishing. It produces knitted fabrics made of polyamide/spandex, polyester/polyamide, 100 % CD, polyester/CD  


As we all now, bluesign technologies was founded in 2000 in Switzerland. The bluesign® system has been adopted by different worldwide leading textile manufacturers, various key players of the chemical and machinery industry rely today on the bluesign® system, as well as renowned brands of sporting clothing and the fashion industry rely on the system and make use of the extensive knowledge base of bluesign technologies.
