Freudenberg Nonwovens lands large order with SoundTex in China
One of the busiest airport in China, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport serving as a regional hub for China Southern Airlines with more than 11 million passengers is relaying on German Freudenberg’s SoundTex® for noise protection
The recent expansion of the airport was inaugurated on August 15th. To reduce noise levels in the service halls, and to avoid that the sound of starting and landing aircrafts penetrate the building, SoundTex® from Freudenberg nonwovens was built in the metal ceiling. Perry Liao, sales responsible for the product at Freudenberg & Vilene Nonwovens in Suzhou stated: “80000 m2 of 0.2 mm thick nonwoven improves room acoustics and shortens reverberation time”. Due to the sound absorbing functi8ons, SoundTex® can be found in highly frequented areas all over the world, namely at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad (IND) or at the main Railroad Station in Berlin (D).
