Lenzing and partners cooperate sustainable with regional Red Cross
The launching has taken part in mid-May. The Red Cross of Upper Austria does not only have “the suitable jacket for you”, but also a suitable and functional knit polo shirt “Made by Löffler” made out of the environmentally friendly Lenzing fibre TENCEL®. Both companies are headquartered in Upper Austria.
The polo shirt consists of two new type of fibre blends and TENCEL® places the major role. Tests with the new generation of the polo shirts were executed over more than a year and have given total satisfaction to the employees working for the Upper Austrian Red Cross. The first larger batch is produced by Löffler and delivery to the regional Red Cross is underway.
According to Andreas Gürtler, Project Manager Active Sportswear at Löffler, stated, the company is a longstanding product development partner of Lenzing for highly functional and exclusive sportswear with TENCEL ® and its new applications are mutually discussed at regularly scheduled meetings before these new products are integrated in new collections. The material for the polo shirt is also used in the Löffler trekking collection. The own research department experimented with the best possible blending ration with TENCEL® to ensure the optimal functionality of the polo shirt material.
