Puma is sub-licensing Centauro in Latin America to promote African Football
The sub-licensing is destined to the Federation of African Football in America and Centauro forms the largest specialised chain of sporting goods in Latin America with 169 shops in 23 states and is part of SBF, a firm generating a turnover of BRL of two billion in 2012
The sub-licensing allows the use of brands to its African partner federations in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and Senegal. The agreement starts in January 2013 and is valid to the end of the FIFA World Cup 2014®.
The four African Federations will have the brand Centauro on all licensed training equipment and for promotion in public spaces around the training locations and the walls of the press officials.
The offering of Centauro entails football team tops at Centauro shops in Brazil to evidence the capabilities of African football teams.
