American Carhartt premium work wear brand adds pocket knives to their collection

Carhartt, America’s premium work wear brand since 1889 is adding Carharrt Knives  by W.R.Case  & Sons Cutlery Company to its offering

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, America’s foremost manufacturer of premium, handcrafted pocket knives, and Carharrt the premium work wear manufacturer unveiled the Carhartt Knives by Case collection on January 15, 2013.

Rugged, reliable, and boasting the unmistakable durability that has become synonymous with these two storied brands, the Carhartt Knives by Case collection will include 22 individual models, all of which are made in the U.S.A. The collection has been on display at the 2013 SHOT Show (January 15 -18, 2013) in Las Vegas (USA).

Ed Jessup, vice president, sales, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery declared: “Carhartt and Case share an unparalleled and rich history. The quality craftsmanship that has defined each of the brands since 1889 is the heart of each knife and is encompassed by a style that will sincerely resonate with the Case and Carharrt consumer.

Unbenannt FEach knife in the collection will feature Tru-SharpTM surgical steel blades with a Strong Shoulder Grind, Case’s special grinding process that gives added strength and rigidity to the knife blade at the tang area. Inspired by some of the best known custom makers, the Strong Shoulder Grind offers a feature reserved only for special Case knife collaborations like th Carhartt by Case collection. Further enhancing the distinct look and texture that compliments the hard work ethic of trhe Carhartt consumer, the stainless steel blades will also feature a Scotch-BriteTM brushed finish. This same brushed finish can also be found on each knife’s Lazy Duck-shaped bolster inspired by the traditional back pocket stitching style of the same name found on Carhartt clothing. The knives will be packaged in a distinctive two piece box that features Carhartt-themed artwork. Certain patterns will also be available in attractive clamshell packaging.

The Carhartt Knives by Caase collection will be available early 2013 and will launch with three specific families, each of which feature distinct handle designs. The families include the fibreglass reinforced G-10, the classic Molasses Bone and Rough Black-over-Cream.

The G-10 family will feature seven knives, including Mid-Folding Hunter with Clip, TrapperLock with Clip, Trapper, Large Stockman, Medium Stockman, Hawkbill Pruner and BackPocket® with Lanyard.

Boasting a classic design that suits today’s gentleman, the Molasses Bone family will feature nine knives, including Medium Stockman, Small Texas Toothpick,  Mini CopperLock®,, Peanut, Mini Copperhead, Sowbelly, Mini Trapper, Trapper and Desk Knife.

Manufactured using a high-quality, durable resin, there will be six knives in the Rough Black-over Cream family are ideal for just about any task that the everyday consumer will encounter. The family will include Trapper, Hawkbill Pruner, CopperLock®, RussLock with Clip, Mini Trapper and Medium Stockman. For more information on these knives make use of the second following link.
