Swedish H&M Hennes and Mauritz (apparel retailer with globally 2’776 (2472) stores at the end of Nov. 2012) shows in November 2012 for its fourth quarter of its fiscal year sales of SEK 37928 million (SEK 36191 million) including VAT Value Added Tax or SEK 32’497 million (SEK 30952 million) without tax and sales increased in November 7 %(-1 %) and for the full year an increase of 11 % (1 %)

2013 the new fashion brand & Other Stories, within the H& M group will launch its first collections during spring and in seven cities: Barcelona (E), Berlin (D), Copenhagen (DK), London (GB), Milan (I), Paris (F) and Stockholm (S). & Other Stories is sharing fashion and beauty stories on the following websites. The new fashion brand & Other Stories will be offering women a wide range of shoes, bags, accessories, beauty and ready-to-war to create their personal style, or story. The lines are diverse, ranging from masculine tailoring to feminine chic and are designed to provide endless styling choices. The aim is to design lasting wardrobe treasures within a wide price range. In the creative ateliers in Paris and Stockholm diversified fashion collections are designed with great attention to detail and quality, and at an affordable price.

The first H&M store in Serbia will be located in the capital Belgrade and should be opening during autumn 2013, other new markets H&M is entering during 2013 are Chile, Estonia, Lithuania and via franchise  in Indonesia. On January 14, 2013 H&M announced that after the successful launch of COS, Collection of Style, in The Avenues in Kuwait, COS and M.H. Alshaya, one of the world’s leading international retail franchise operators, announced the continued expansion across the Middle East with its first store opening in Dubai (Dubai Mall, the region’s premier shopping destination)  in coming-up spring. COS offers high-end design, premium quality, at affordable prices. It was launched in 2007.

a2231f377493be8a_orgOn January 15 H&M signed a long term partnership with international Czech-born tennis star Tomas Berdych, currently ranked 6th in the world. Berdych (27) will become an ambassador for H&M both on court and off, and will work closely with the H&M design team on a unique tennis collection which will debut in stores later on. The partnership marks a new chapter in relationship between sport and fashion, including H&M Clothing worn on court by a top ranking tennis player for the first time ever and will bring a professional sports influence to H&M.
