Rieter Award goes to the 2012 winners

Five future textile specialists from China, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Turkey received on November 16, 2012 the Rieter Award (the 23rd edition) at the headquarters of the company


The Rieter award winners are Reajul Islam (Bangladesh), Cigdem Cliskan (Turkey), Arpita Kothari (India), Fitri Lestari (Indonesia) and Qi Xiao as we have reported before. The winners visited Rieter at its headquarters in Winterthur (CH) and toured Switzerland, starting with the Rhine Falls, followed by a visit to Victorinox company (pocket knives), then the cities of Zurich and Lucerne and with the cable car on mount Titlis. Of course in the land of chocolate a highlight was the visit at Maestrani chocolate manufacturer in Flawil where the winners made their own chocolate.

The Rieter Award from Rieter Textile Systems (bestowed annually since 1989)  is a mountain crystal and the Award Certificate will be handed over in the respective home country of each winner and at their respective university.
