IFAI  Industrial Fabrics Associations bestowed the 2012 ShowStoppers Awards

IFAI received 84 entries from four countries being submitted by 56 different companies for the 2012 ShowStoppers awards

The winners were chosen by their industry peers in attendance and exhibiting at IFAI Expo 2012 in Boston (USA). The awards were presented on November 8, 2012 on the show floor by IFAI staff.

The winners are in the following categories: in Hardware Findings and Accessories the award went to Xtreme Seal® pro Seal, Xtreme Seal, a new dual-durometer extrusion designed to use as a weather seal for marine canvases, windows and edge seals of all types.

In Equipment & Tools there are the following winners: WT-168” Plotter/Cutter by Carlson Design, the machine is designed for making and cutting material for ultra-wide textile applications. Then Servo Motor by Consew®, the motor is a replacement for all standard clutch motors. The Servo Motor uses less power, makes no sound, is lightweight and simple to install.

In Services and End Products the winners are CabrioTMFrameless Wall Systems by CabrioStructures, a sophisticated moving wall system that provides clear unobstructed views. The other winner is SigNature® DNA Textile Authentication Marker developed by Applied DNA Sciences, it protects the quality and integrity of textiles by safeguarding against counterfeiting with secure, affordable and forensic methods to authenticate.

In Fabrics, Fibers and films, the award went to KTTEXTM Silicone Impregnated Reflective Fabric by King Tech Industry Corp., a high-strength KTTEX silicone reflective fabric featuring low-friction to protect aircrafts from scratches.

In the Spun area the award went to Sommers Plastic Products for their thermo-formable polyurethane (TPU) lace that is extruded into wire, afterwards looped over itself to create an open lace-like mesh 42” wide.

In Chemicals, Coating and Compunds , Ultra-Fresh DW 30 by Thompson Research Associated was bestowed  for the EPA registered Ultra-Fresh DW 30 designed to be applied to textiles and other materials in order to protect against the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria.
