Washing forward to Fashion in Istanbul
The world’s largest denim producer (200 million meters of fabric and 300000 m2 production surfaces), Turkish ISKO (established in 1983 and the textile manufacturing member of Sanko Holding, a diversified multinational company located in Turkey) invited all important players in the denim field, to visit its 3rd Annual Washing Seminar in Istanbul (TR) to step forward into fashion
Following the success of the May session at ISKOTECA, and the latest edition of the washing seminar, held in July at CREATIVE ROOM, the event got even more effective with the creative ideas of Swiss Clariant, the specialist chemical manufacturer; Tonello Lab, the industrial washing and treatment machine manufacturer, and Everest, the Northern Italy laundry specialist. With the presence of Everest, all participants were granted the chance to see different treating ideas and they experienced various applications, putting a distinct note to the seminar.
The motivation of numerous prestigious brands such as Kaporal, Sissy Bay, Ronald Sassoon, Street One, Mac, Strellson, Scotch&Soda, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara and Tom Tailor as well as the British brand Topshop, intrigued ISKO to decide to continue the series of washing seminars in Istanbul, Turkey.
It became a great place to bring together all the top brands, such as Zara, Gerry Weber, Escada, Betty Barclay, Acne, H&M, Promod and Esprit, as well as the presence of Vladimiro Baldin, Creative Centre Manager at Diesel, and the fashion forecasting agencies StyleSight and WGSN under one roof and to perform some more brainstorming also on the innovative, trendy ideas of Cross Jeans and the different chemical applications of Clariant. Marco Lucietti, Marketing Director, SNAK-ISKO ™ Division stated: “When participants are so numerous and prestigious, the whole revolutionary scope of these initiatives becomes apparent, with a positive impact on the whole denim industry, as well as on fashion in general.
