Turkey’s Sever Konfeksyon recently took delivery of its third Montex stenter from A. Monforts Textilmaschinen in order to meet increasing production demands for its Quality products

The Turkish production plant is located some 220 km east of Izmir and has gained a reputation of its wide range of home textiles and ladies over garments in the region. The company was founded in 1967 by Fhari Sever and his three sons, Ismail, Mehmet and Caner, and it is bleaching, dyeing and printing cotton fabrics. Since 1988 Sever is a fully integrated operation, introducing at that time the own in-house finishing facility to produce a wide range of finished home textiles.

In 1998 the company ordered its first Montex stenter from Monforts because it trusted its new technology and the highly engineered build offered. As production was enhancing, a second Montex stenter was installed in 2004 and the third was ordered through the local Monforts Representative Elitez.

The newest addition features a nominal working with of 280 cam, eight compartments and an operating speed of 5 – 100 m/min. The oil-heated stenter features additionally the Monforts integrated heat recovery system and a Montex padder. A combined pin/clip chain facilitates easy operation for either polyester or cotton fabrics.

Also recently, Sever added a seersucker and satin linen production and plans for the future an even wider range of satin products as well as bamboo linen fabrics and both will be easily handled by the latest Montex addition. Since the commissioning of the first stenter, the company has seen an extension of the production from 30000 m2 to 90000m2. The complete production process entails washing, bleaching, printing and finishing and therefore fabrics can make up to four or five passes through the three stenters, each handling fabric weights ranging from 100 to 250 g/m2. The majority of the production goes into the domestic market, but increasing orders are being received for export under the Sever brand name.
