C. Penney as resident Style Voice and fashion collection curator

In her new Role, Garcia will work closely with J.C. Penney’s merchandise and design teams to offer trend direction and insight into the Company’s exclusive apparel collections and her style advice will be made available to consumers nationwide through a variety of in-store activations, digital initiatives and social media chats.

Garcia underlines that she is thrilled to partner with J.C. Penney as their resident Style Voice during such an exciting time for the company and she is excited to collaborate on a variety of amazing projects with the team of J.C. Penney.

Garcia enjoys a strong back ground in the industry and makes her a natural fit for J.C. Penney as it continues to celebrate its core brands and strengthen its growing portfolio of designer partnerships and Garcia will bring a fresh perspective to J.C. Penney. She is originally from Colombia and she wrote four books on style: The Little Black Book of Style, The One Hundred, The Style Strategy and Nina Garcia’s Look Book. Nina is responsible for covering the designer fashion markets of New York, Milan and Paris. Prior to her work with Marie Claire Magazine, she worked as a Fashion Director at Elle and held positions at both Mirabella and Perry Ellis.

Silver Jeans & Co. is a division of Western Glove Works, a family-owned business producing quality denim products for 90 years and has elected now a new President for sales of the wholesale division

In 1991, Michael Silver and based upon the family’s vast denim experience created its own branded label and created Silver Jeans Co.TM and over the past 20 years the company is known for its devotion as a must-have brand for those who demand a perfect fit from their jeans. The company is currently headed by Allen Kemp, and the designer is Janice Marks. The brand is a time-tested collection blending modern and vintage details with intricate washes and creative designs. Silver Jeans is fashion savvy but cost conscious customers the latest styles and best quality at a price they can afford. Today’s collection has grown to an international lifestyle brand offering men’s, women’s and extended size denim and denim-related sportswear to global markets. In America its products are sold at independent retailers such as M Fredric, specialty chains such as Buckle and major department stores such as Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dillard’s. The price range for such jeans starts at US 80 – 100, USD 39 -79 for tops and USD 89 – 119 for outerwear.

Current President of Silver Jeans, Michael Silver is becoming CEO of the company and that is why the new position of President of sales of the wholesale division was created and Doreen Panzer will fill this position. She will be responsible for the strategy of growth potential and mapping the brand’s plans for immediate and future sales growth on a global basis jointly with the newly created retail division. She will be working closely with the Canadian and £US sales teams to identify new opportunities to enhance the brand’s business. Up to now Doreen Panzer held the position of Vice President of Sales for Calvin Klein Jeans with sales, planning and retail merchandising strategy responsibilities for the Missy, Plus and Petites divisions. Her previous experience includes buying for Macy’s and Ann Taylor and Account Executive for A-Line Ann Klein.

CEO Silver will lead the company into it s next phase of growth and will focus on important aspects of the expanding business, including the recently announced retail roll out, consumer product assortment and brand management.
