This time Germany leads the pack at ITMA Asia + CITME

The member companies of German VDMA, the umbrella organisation of German textile machinery manufacturers have booked 18 % more surface at ongoing ITMA Asia + CITME in Shanghai (PRC) than 2010 when the last edition took place. 112 exhibitors are present and occupying 6402 m2 and that is more than any other European country.

The German machinery exhibitors are present in all sectors of machinery of the fair, firstly spinning, then finishing, knitting, hosiery, nonwovens and weaving and the booths are all marked by logos either by “Made in Germany” or “German Technology” and they do respond to the motto of the exhibition: Sustainability meets profit, especially with Blue Competence (for the first time visible in Asia), an initiative that was firstly presented at the European Edition of ITMA last September. Now the initiative was refined specifically with offers to Chinese textile producers to meet the ambitious objectives of the countries five-year plan. Some members’ success stories are presented at the VDMA stand entailing the saving of raw material, reducing electrical, oil and gas consumption thanks to German newly developed technologies. In that respect also an energy efficiency guide “Conserving resources – securing savings-potential” is at the VDMA and at the booths of 40 German exhibitors also available
