Moderate trade growth in goods, but not for China

The newest statistics of OECD Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development proves for the 2012 first quarter results that total imports and exports of G7 increased by one percent and BRICS 0.6 %, in contrast trade slowed sharply in China with exports contracting by 4.2 % and imports by 3.8 %

Trade results for Germany +0.9 % for imports and 1.7 % for exports, Japan imports + 1.5 % and 2.1 % exports, Great Britain +2.7 % respectively 1.6 %, the U.S.A. +4.0 % and 2.0 %, India 5.7 % and 5.9 % and South Africa 6.3 % and 4.8 %. In France import growth was flat and contracted by 3.2 %, but exports increased by 0.7 % as well those for Italy (+2.4 %). Canada’s exports fell by 0.3 % for the second consecutive quarter and Russia’s exports fell by 0.7 %.
