Cosmetotextiles are becoming fashionable
Swiss Schoeller bets on the promising new holistic health trend and the integration of cosmetics into textiles (microcapsules) and presents its newest product iLoad® (was bestowed with the Swiss Technology Award 2011), a reloadable drug delivery textile offering new perspectives such as skincare via clothing. It is a textile carrier material that can be individually loaded and regenerated with beneficial or therapeutic substances (under medical supervision). Schoeller Medical has chosen a highly scientific approach – unusual for textile companies – and acquired a laboratory of high quality research, analysis equipment, facilities for chemical synthesis and preliminary microbiological clarification. Schoeller is not only pursuing proven textile structures, its initial medical product line serves the area of incontinence. The project entails partnership based developments. Schoeller is eager to seek individual solutions and is inclined to design tailored solutions for customers requirements not excluding new distribution channels such as online shops or customer care at POS point of sale where substances for recharging iLoad® textiles can be acquired. All in all, Schoeller would like to be among the frontrunners in that innovative and expanding new market segment.
