Bodywear with medical stimulation current
Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI) in Chemnitz (D) and regional clothing specialist BA-TEX developed a new body wear to enhance medical application
The body wear has the project name “Stimulation current body” and is transporting stimulation current to the defined locations of the human mussel skeleton and will be used for medical rehabilitation after accidents or by illnesses (orthopaedic, cardiologic and urological) and for medical preventions (to decrease blood pressure, to reduce weight, etc.). It is also to be used for wellness and fitness applications. The body wear is partly elastic and made of knitted and embroidering textiles with partial electrical conductivity and able to connect with software equipped hardware. The integrated connective part is washable with the body.
