Queen’s Award bestowed to James Heal Company

In its 140th year of existence British James Heal company (Laboratory textile testing and measuring with around 100 people employed) is winning for the second time (first in 1995 for export) the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. The announcement was made on April 21st at the occasion of the Queen’s birthday.

The distinction is given on the basis of the demonstration of substantial growth in overseas earnings and significant commercial success sustained over the past three years and going along a socially responsible acting of the company.

James Heal has received further awards: in 2010 it was named Manufacturer of the Year by Halifax Courier Business Awards as well in the same year and with the same reason from Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards and in 2011 Halifax Courier Business Awards named James Heal the International Business of the Year and Manufacturing Advisory Service bestowed the company with Works’ Award 2011.
