American J. Crew fashion retailer goes internationally more online
The J. Crew Group Inc. an American multi-channel retailer of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel, shoes and accessories is taking its business more international via e-commerce
The company actually operates 266 retail stores, including 225 US retail locations, one J. Crew Canadian, eight Crewcuts and 32 Madewell stores. Now it announces that it will take its international distribution network from 29 to 107 countries to reach out to customers in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America and will accept 41 local currencies for payment of orders.
The company is known for its dedication to quality, timeless design and world class customer service. Crew has established partnerships with the finest European mills and fabric houses to offer Italian cashmere and tailored Ludlow suiting and enjoys loyal customers around the globe.
Since 1983 Crew acted as a pioneer with the launch of its catalogue and establishing it as an official style guide along with other innovative and successful retail concepts in stationary and online businesses. The international growth has taken place thanks to e-commerce first, allowing customers the exclusive access around the clock to its entire lines for the three customer segments already mentioned and it plans also to open specialty stores in selected markets in Europe and Asia over the next years to come. To celebrate the global launch the company will be offering its international customers outside of North America an introduction offer including fee shipping and returns as well as duty-free shopping for a limited time. The global presence is supported by FiftyOne, according to in-house the market leader in global e-commerce.
