Board of directors changes at Oerlikon Group

Prior to the annual general meeting on April 12, 2012 Oerlikon Group announces some changes at its Board of Directors

After serving four years at Oerlikon Corporation’s Board of Directors, Dr. Urs A. Meyer is leaving this body to focus on his responsibilities as President/CEO of Franke Kitchen Systems Group (CH). As his successor it is proposed Reyad Fezzani (46), educated in the UK and holding a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology form Imperial College in London. He is also a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and he has had a career of over 20 years as business executive in Asia, USA and Europe, he is currently Chairman and CEO of Regenerate Power LLC, a California based Energy Company as well as Chairman and Managing Partner of Energy Finance Company. Prior he served as Chairman of Tata-BP India and as President of BP’s renewable energy business based in California. In 2006 he became CEO of BP’s Global Chemical business based in China with operations across Asia and manufacturing site in China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Americas and Europe.

If the owners agree the board will then consist of four independent members Kurt J. Hausheer, Gerhard Pegam, Wolfgang Tölsner and Hans Ziegler and three representatives (Tim Sumers, Carl Stadelhofer and Reyad Fezzani) of the largest shareholder Renova Group.
