Nanotechnology systems provider pools its activities

Nanogate AG (D) is about to roll up the growing market for functional textiles and care products with innovative chemical nanotechnology systems

German internationally active Nanogtate AG (founded 1999, some 250 collaborators and has first-class customer references and several hundred innovations have been installed already in mass production) is – according to in-house information – a leading international systems provider for nanotechnology and is enhancing its activities in the growing market for functional textiles and care products by pooling as of January 1, 2012 such operations at Nanogate Textile & Care Systems GmbH (formerly FNP GmbH) to make more use of the existing business opportunities. Additionally the company is evaluating new sales and cooperation partners. Nanogate AG will act in the future as a holding company by focusing on operational and strategic management capabilities for the benefit of its equity holdings, additionally on central functions such as material development and production plus accounting, financial controlling and procurement for all group members.

According to Ralf Zastrau, CEO of Nanogate (group members are Nanogate Industrial Solutions GmbH, Eurogard B.V., Nanogate Textile & Care Systems GmbH; there is a majority control with GfO Gesellschaft für Oberflächentechnik AG (Society for surface technology) and the company has a minority holding in Holmenkol AG) states “the market for high performance surfaces offers Nanogate a huge potential in the field of functional textiles and care products for sport and leisure products among others”. In order to speed up these market activities also the equity holding in Holmenkol AG will be tapped. For the financial year of 2012 the company expects to achieve seven digit sales and increasing earnings.
