Rewarding German textile machinery exports
German textile machinery was again very much worldwide demanded according to the umbrella organisation of German textile machinery manufacturers VDMA and against the three quarters of 2010 the value advanced by 28.5 % to EUR 2427 million
To the 2011 export success of German textile machinery up to September 2011 Asia contributed EUR 1441 million (+36.2 %), followed by Europe with EUR 651 million (+34.7%), then Middle and South America with EUR 153 million (+18.3 %), North America with EUR 145 million (-21.4 %) and Africa with EUR 35 million (+13.3 %).
In the same period the most performing six markets were: China/Hong Kong with EUR 860 (667) million, followed by Turkey with EUR 217 (145) million, India with EUR 201 (120) million, the U.S.A. with EUR 142 (183) million, Brazil EUR 89 (EUR 71) million and Italy with EUR 62 (58) million.
Looking at spinning machinery, the six foremost markets (total value EUR 983 milllion or +47.1%) were: China/Hong Kong with EUR 299 (194) million, India EUR 143 (73) million, Turkey EUR 106 million (58 million), U.S.A. EUR 74 (77) million, Brazil EUR 53 (31) million and South Korea EUR 30 (16) million.
The six main markets for weaving machines (total value EUR 150 million, +5.6 %) were: China/Hong Kong EUR 34 (28) million, Iran EUR 14 (18) million, Italy EUR 12 (11) million, Turkey unchanged EUR 11 million, India 8 (6) million and Brazil 6 (5) million.
Knitting and hosiery machinery (total value EUR 778 million, + 29.0 %) was mostly ordered by the six following countries: China/Hong Kong EUR 458 (371) million, Turkey EUR 49 (EUR 31) million, India EUR 31 million (17 million), Taiwan EUR 22 (10) million, Italy EUR 21 (18) million and South Korea EUR 20 (14) million.
The foremost demand for finishing machinery (total value EUR 516 million, + 8.5 %) resulted from the following six countries: China/Hong Kong EUR 70 (74) million, Turkey EUR 51 (46) million, U.S.A. EUR 50 (85) million, Russia EUR 38 (12) million, Czech Republic EUR 30 (24) million and France EUR 28 (10) million.
