Important management change

American VF Corporation announces an important management change

After four decades of service Boyd Rogers (62), Vice President of VF Corporation (USA) and President of Supply Chain will retire by December 31, 2011 and be replaced by Tom Glaser, Vice President Global Operations.

Boyd Rogers long career started at Blue Bell, Inc. (1971) and there he held various manufacturing, engineering and product management assignments. He joined the VF corporate team in 2000, assuming the responsibility for Process Reengineering as well as the management of Shared Services, Technology and Global Sourcing Organisations. He became Vice President, Global Supply Chain & Technology (2004) and member of the VF Operating Committee. In the current position he was active since 2005.

Glaser, his successor, will assume the responsibilities for the global supply chain, including all manufacturing and sourcing operations. He came to VF in 2001 as Managing Director, VF Asia Ltd. Sourcing, based in Hong Kong and remained over five years and diversifying and expanding VF’s global sourcing network in support of VF’s growing portfolio of brands (lifestyle apparel). In 2006 he became President, Supply Chain Europe/Asia based in Lugano (CH) and was chosen for the current function in 2010 and he therefore relocated to the VF headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. (USA). He will follow also Rogers in joining VF’s Operating Committee.
