Gant has revealed plans to launch a selected rental service for its spring 20 range as part of its sustainability initiative.

The collection of 10 pieces will be available from May in Gant’s London Regent Street flagship store, and at least one store in each of its international regions, Drapers reported.

The fashion retailer will allow customers to rent an item for three days for 20 % of the price.

They will be given the choice to pay the remainder of the price to keep the item at the end of the service.

Meanwhile, products will be available in sizes extra small to large for women and small to large for men, and the range include pants, jackets, dresses, shirts and blouses.

Gant global sustainability director Jessica Cederberg-Wodmar said the rental service is out for a limited amount of time as a way of introducing the customer to something new.

A second collection will launch in October.
